About Brittany Grunerud

Brittany is a dedicated and passionate Relentless Youth Outreach Worker with YOUCAN Youth Services. She brings six years of Youth Care experience to the role, having worked at Ranch Ehrlo in Saskatchewan as well as Unlimited Potential here in Edmonton prior to joining the team. Brittany specializes in supporting young people with complex needs, developmental disorders, and addictions.

Brittany builds intentional relationships then creates personalized action plans aimed at achieving goals with youth such as getting into treatment, attending school or securing employment. She collaborates with teachers, lawyers, caseworkers, probation officers, and other support systems to ensure youth are given every opportunity to succeed.

With an understanding of and experience working with at-risk, multi-culturally diverse youth, Brittany is skilled at tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each young person. Her relentless commitment to her work ensures she leads by example, encouraging youth to invest in their own growth while offering the unwavering support they need to navigate life’s challenges.

Brittany’s personal experience growing up in a toxic home environment and living on her own at sixteen has made her passionate about helping young people take control of their futures by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to foster independence. She does this by building strong relationships with empathy, patience and understanding. Brittany is excited to be part of a team that is RELENTLESS in serving young people.

In her free time, Brittany enjoys traveling, hiking in the mountains, yoga and spending time with her son.
