About Cayleigh Bluett
Cayleigh is a Relentless Youth Worker with YOUCAN Youth Services. She grew up in a military family and spent much of her childhood travelling and living across Europe, the UK and Canada- finally settling in Alberta over 10 years ago. In 2019, Cayleigh graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, with the desire put her degree to use working with teenagers. Throughout high school, post secondary and present day, Cayleigh has maintained multiple volunteer placements ranging from art assisted therapy for long term hospital patients to walking shelter dogs. Cayleigh firmly believes in the personal benefits of giving back to community and thoroughly enjoys spending time volunteering alongside youth.
Previously, Cayleigh worked to support youth experiencing their first interaction with Police with the goal of diverting them from the criminal justice system and connecting them with appropriate supports to ensure success. From there, her caseload gradually increased in risk level, complexity and criminal involvement. Working with varying levels of vulnerable youth has given Cayleigh a new outlook on life and provided much needed context to the unique experiences this population of youth face. Cayleigh is happy to be working with higher risk, more complex cases and sincerely enjoys the challenges and rewards that it brings!
