About Jon Bennett

Jonathan is a dedicated Outreach Worker at YOUCAN Youth Services, where he combines his organizational skills and passion for community support to make a meaningful impact. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Leadership Certificate from the University of Alberta, and his professional journey includes experience in not-for-profit program coordination, event and financial management, sales and administration roles. Jon’s passion for fostering positive change in young lives began with his volunteer work in youth employment readiness programs and has been further developed through his extensive involvement in mentoring youth as a hockey and lacrosse official and during his time abroad.

Jonathan’s international experiences have enriched his intercultural communication skills and deepened his understanding of privilege and empathy, aligning with YOUCAN’s values of accountability and inclusivity. Jon loves the outreach component of his role – meeting youth where they are at, continually showing up, and he believes in always celebrating the little wins. With a strong foundation in service-driven roles and a commitment to lifelong learning, Jon is eager to contribute to the collaborative RELENTLESS team that delivers impactful services for local youth.
