Be Relentless

In Memory of Kyle Dubé

On March 3, 2024 we sadly lost our friend and our leader Kyle Dubé.

Kyle, was a community leader who spent his entire career working to better the lives of youth. He served our organization better than anyone could have ever imagined for over twenty years.

Kyle had been with YOUCAN Youth Services since 2002. During that time, YOUCAN Youth Services grew from a one-person office, to being a leading organization in the area of youth work and youth employment programming with 20 staff implementing youth outreach and employment projects in the Edmonton community.

In addition to his work in the community, Kyle was a devoted father and husband, sharing his life and responsibilities with his amazing wife Jeanette. Together, they were the glue that held things together for their family and community—role models, financial contributors, cheerleaders, emotional stabilizers, connectors and beacons of laughter.

Their family’s kindness knew no bounds, and their tireless contributions enriched the lives of many in our community.

Kyle dedicated his life to those in need and believed in the power of laughter to heal, connect, and uplift. We are proud to honour his legacy and continue our Relentless work and journey.

“This relentless pressure of grief is the most relentless thing I have ever experienced in my life. But I am going to keep walking, you’re gonna keep walking, you and I will walk together as long as we can. My Grandpa Dubé always used to say, ‘There’s better days ahead my boy.’ I think I believe him. If we can give people some hope out there, I do believe that there are some better days ahead.”
