About Chuoy John

Chuoy completed her Social Work degree at the University of Windsor in 2020. After moving back to Edmonton, she worked on a Mobile Support Team as a crisis worker. She worked with Edmonton’s most vulnerable population, those experiencing chronic homelessness. In her role, Chuoy acquired a lot of knowledge about housing, mental health & addiction, and community supports in the Edmonton area. Although new to the field of youth work, Chuoy has always been passionate about working with young people.

Chuoy strongly believes in representation when having conversation about change. She believes it’s important for young people to be around individuals who resemble themselves, and in positions they would like to be in. Chuoy is excited to be a part of the Relentless Outreach Team. She looks forward to the journey she is on at YOUCAN Youth Services, and excited for the personal and professional development.
