Christine McCourt-Reid, a dedicated communications professional and community advocate, currently serves as the Director of External Relations at YWCA Edmonton, bringing over two decades of diverse experience in community advocacy, engagement, and fund development. Recognized for her outstanding contributions, including the Top 40 Under 40 Award and the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers, McCourt-Reid's personal journey, shaped by the loss of her husband to esophageal cancer in 2005, informs her relentless advocacy for compassionate care leave. As a leader promoting social change and gender equity through initiatives like the Rose Campaign, she emphasizes the need for collective action and continuous engagement, extending her impactful leadership to corporate partnerships and the YWCA Edmonton’s Equity Fund.
